The Poulsen brothers have now been correctly identified in the previous post.
Congratulations to all who participated in flags this year. I understand that over 100 flags decorated our town.
Good Job!

Nuclear Science Merit Badge and Overnight on US Coast Guard Cutter McLane
An exciting and educational outing is planned for March 13 and 14, 2020.
Scouts will work on the Nuclear Science merit badge at the Cook Nuclear Power Plant. Afterwards the troop continues to Muskegon, Michigan for an overnight stay on the US Coast Guard Cutter McLane.
It is a lot to pack in the first day so we need to depart Elliott parking lot on Saturday morning 3-14 at 6:30 AM. Be sure you are ready for the merit badge clinic by having paper and pencil. You might want to look at the badge requirements, link below.

Munster Lions Pancake Breakfast – Update
Hello Scouts and Scouters.
Hi all. With a week to go, I thought I’d resend the request for homemade baked goods for the Lions Club breakfast this Sunday. Someone brought up a good point that sometimes folks like to bring dessert home for later, so if you would like to make a dessert that is as breakfast-like, please feel free to do so. Thanks, everyone.

On Sunday, March 1, 2020, the Lions Club of Munster will be hosting their annual pancake breakfast at the Munster High School cafeteria from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The troop will again be both helping out with the Lions Club and hosting a bake sale near the exit doors during the breakfast. Given that this is a morning event, I’m asking for homemade muffins, breakfast breads and pastries for us to sell, for a goodwill offering, throughout the event. Would any Scouts or Scouters be so kind as to make and provide a homemade item? All items can be dropped off to me at 7a.m. the morning of the event, or I can collect them the day before at my house. (I will have a table and a cooler for you to put them in outside of my front door at 8626 Baring Ave, Munster, IN). You do not need to worry about slicing and/or packaging them individually. We will take care of that. We will be selling both individual muffins and slices of breakfast bread/pastries, as well as entire loaves or boxes of muffins. This event is a bit different in that folks aren’t really buying and eating desserts after their breakfast as much as they are taking items to go, so this allows us to package more items for folks to take home.
Attached is a sign-up list for items as well as if any parents are interested in working the table with me throughout the event.
Many thanks, Lynn Eplawy (219-406-1422)
